I have learned to love the art of American sign language and the deaf culture! And whenever i have the opprotunity to express my words through fluent gestures, it puts me at peace for those breif moments if silent conversation. Its nice to not have to use your voice to communicate. Sign language...learn it! its changed my life and opened my eyes to a whole other world!
That's not a sign you would ever see here in the uk. I don't think you would ( maybe I'm just a cynic but people here are very apathetic!!) Nice work, thanks for sharing this
I definately agree on your feelings of ASL. Some days I wish I could just get out of the noisy public school system and go to the local school for the deaf. There's no better place on earth than in the center of a group of people who are deaf and being able to communicate with them so easily.
I totally agree. I feel the same way. It's my second language, now that I've taken classes. My friends in that class became family to me. And the deaf community around here is amazing. They're so funny and welcoming. I love it. Using sign language makes me feel at home.
I am also half deaf, and losing my hearing slowly. I'm okay with that, now that I have ways to communicate. ASL really eased my mind about it all. (:
Just thought I'd share that with you. You seem like someone who would really understand. (:
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
